Wink Studio was featured in CBS Denver ” Top Spots for Eyelash Extensions”

Wink Studio is a small salon just south of the Cherry Creek neighborhood. It offers the Xtreme Lashes eyelash extensions rand, which requires the stylist to be certified before he or she is able to apply the lash extensions.  Owner May Davis ensures that the lashes are applied professionally, as the before and after results are quite impressive.  After the first 24 hours, the lashes can be treated almost the same as your own natural lashes, including eye makeup and even mascara if you still desire.  Plus the extensions last approximately two month, depending on your own natural eyelash growth cycle. Depending on the length of time between your visits, a refill can be done to maintain your new look.

Wink Studio brings Korean trend to the mile-high city: thicker, longer eyelash extensions

Wake up to longer, thicker and fuller Eyelashes everyday! The slogan of Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions is what drives May Davis, owner and stylist of Wink Studio in Denver. Wink Studio, located just off Colorado Boulevard, offers eyelash extensions, waxing, and eyebrow and eyelash tinting.

Davis specializes in Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions, a revolutionary product that provides clients with longer, natural looking eyelashes. Xtreme Lashes Eyelash Extensions are not traditional false eyelashes. They are single synthetic strands of eyelashes, in which Davis applies one by one directly to the individual eyelashes. Routine touch-ups are suggested every two to four weeks.

Each lash has an upward curl which gives a natural look for many Asian-American women who’s eyelashes naturally point forward or down without any curl. Although eyelash extensions are most popular in Asia, many Caucasian-Americans also give the services of Wink Studio a try. “For those with blonde eyelashes, they are usually more thin and they are looking to create more volume through the extensions,” said Davis.

Wink Studio also sells products including: mascara, eye pencil, pocket mirror, make-up remover and protective coating for extensions. Originally from Japan and then living in Hawaii, Davis worked in the hotel industry for 15 years and moved to Denver to pursue her true passion in esthetics and beauty. She said, “When I got older, I realized I want to do what I want to do,”

Her steady hands are from her family who owns a couture fashion factory. She grew up surrounded by beauty and the fashion world, which has inspired her continuous passion for what she does. Her mission is to bring out the beauty in all women. “I love doing this because I enjoy giving people results,” she said. “When they are done they say, ‘oh wow, I am so beautiful.’ They really appreciate what I did and I can make them feel so good.”

The trend of eyelash extensions began in Korea and is now also very popular in Japan. Davis believes it is growing in popularity here in the U.S., although the price is still high compared to Asia. Davis is also a Colorado State Licensed Esthetician with certifications in Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels. She is a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals.
